This page provides information relating to use of the website highnorth.co.uk and any products, services or guidance obtained from High North Performance Ltd, and the associated coaches (Tom Bell and Dr Emma Wilkins).

Risks and Liability

By following guidance on highnorth.co.uk or provided by High North Performance Ltd, or by following workouts prescribed by High North Performance Ltd or the associated coaches, you agree to the following: 

  1. I understand that exercise comes with inherent risks of illness, injury or death, including but not limited to heart attacks, muscle strains, pulls or tears, broken bones, shin splints, heat stroke, knee/lower back/foot injuries. I confirm that I have hereby been strongly advised by Tom Bell and Emma Wilkins (hereafter 'the Coaches'), acting on behalf of High North Performance Ltd, to consult with a physician before following any training plan or advice provided by the Coaches. I also hereby confirm that I do not have any known condition that would prevent or limit my participation in any physical activity. Furthermore, I agree that, should such a condition arise, I will follow any physician's advice regarding physical activity participation.

  2. I confirm that I follow any training plan or advice prescribed by the Coaches voluntarily, with full awareness of the risks involved. I am aware that the training plan may include high-intensity exercise, and cycling on roads, which may pose a particular risk of injury, illness or death.

  3. I agree that neither the Coaches nor High North Performance Ltd are in any way responsible for any illness, injury, or death occurring during, or after training in accordance with advice or training plans provided by the Coaches or High North Performance Ltd. I further release the Coaches and High North Performance Ltd from any liability now or in the future for any injury, illness or death occurring during, or after following any plan or advice issued by the Coaches, unless caused by the Coaches' recklessness or intentional misconduct.

Return Policy

Unless otherwise indicated at the point of purchase, pre-built (i.e. non-customised) products purchased from High North Performance Ltd are subject to a 14-day refund period. Payment processing costs that we cannot recoup will be deducted from your refund amount. Please send us an email at info@highnorth.co.uk if you need to request a refund. 

Customised products or advice cannot be refunded.


TrainingPeaks

Many of our products and services are delivered via the TrainingPeaks platform. TrainingPeaks LLC are an independent company, and we are not able to guarantee the continued functionality of the TrainingPeaks platform, nor that our products will continue to be compatible with the TrainingPeaks platform indefinitely. By purchasing any products and/or services from us you accept this risk.

Expected Results

While we endeavour to provide evidence-based and effective training advice, products and services, we cannot guarantee that you will always see an improvement in markers of cycling fitness or performance. Different people respond to training interventions in different ways, and we cannot always guarantee the outcome of any particular advice. By using any products or services provided by High North Performance Ltd, you hereby acknowledge these limitations, and agree that High North Performance Ltd will not be held liable for any costs incurred if your desired training outcomes are not achieved.
